Specialising in old vintage Domfrontais Calvados, the Lemorton family has been managing the family estate for 3 generations.

Maison Lemor­ton is loca­ted in Man­tilly, in the south of Lower Normandy in the uns­poilt Dom­fron­tais Bocage. Family-owned for 3 gene­ra­tions, the estate is now run by the grand­son, Didier. An orchard of high stem apple and pear trees, some of which are 20 metres tall, sup­plies the fruit for the pro­duc­tion of their ciders, per­ries, Pom­meau de Nor­man­die, and in par­ti­cu­lar their old vin­tage Calvados Dom­fron­tais. Calvados Lemor­ton have the par­ti­cu­la­ri­ty of contai­ning a very high pro­por­tion of pears in the ciders for dis­til­la­tion, around 70%, whe­reas the Calvados Dom­fron­tais appel­la­tion requires a mini­mum of 30%. All the Calvados are aged in oak bar­rels until bottling.
