Specialising in old vintage Domfrontais Calvados, the Lemorton family has been managing the family estate for 3 generations.
Maison Lemorton is located in Mantilly, in the south of Lower Normandy in the unspoilt Domfrontais Bocage. Family-owned for 3 generations, the estate is now run by the grandson, Didier. An orchard of high stem apple and pear trees, some of which are 20 metres tall, supplies the fruit for the production of their ciders, perries, Pommeau de Normandie, and in particular their old vintage Calvados Domfrontais. Calvados Lemorton have the particularity of containing a very high proportion of pears in the ciders for distillation, around 70%, whereas the Calvados Domfrontais appellation requires a minimum of 30%. All the Calvados are aged in oak barrels until bottling.
